Sorry for not posting updates on the site. My laptop was out of commission I have just recently received it. I have plenty of pics to post of of customers that I have been guiding while living in Port Mansfield. That’s right I have moved the guide business to Port Mansfield. My rates have changed so please stay tuned for current rates or call my cell 832-385-1431. Once again I am sorry for inconvenience.
We started early in the morning so we could hit the lights in the area. With some luck we would find some hungry trout busting on shrimp. We didn’t find the mother load but Jim hooked several nice trout, a red and a couple of nice sized sand trout. Heck all we need was a flounder and he would have a Texas Slam on the fly (that is a little tough to do). With some luck we could find some flounder feeding. As the sun started to peak above the horizon I decided it was time to head off the honey hole. Upon arriving we witnessed several flounder airborne as bait passed them by. Mr. Jim casted in the general area were the flounder were at and bamm “Fish On”. A nice 18in plus flounder had fallen to the clouser.

After several more casts we could not produce another fish, so we moved towards another spot. There were could see the reds with thier backs out of the water and exploding on shrimp. Way cool!!

The reds seemed to be around us going nuts. After finally getting a decent shot at one Jim hooked up. Another redfish on the fly. SWEET!!!!!

After awhile the fish seem to settle down and we could not get any takers. So off to another spot. We fished for several more hours with very little signs of life. So we decided to go in and call it a day. It was great to have Jim on the boat and having him catching a Texas Slam on Fly was the icing on the cake. It’s always good to have a good caster and fisherman on the boat.
